Cruises from California 2016

A tremendous variety of cruises from California is available in 2016. Cruise to Mexico, Hawaii, the South Pacific, Alaska, Australia, Panama Canal, South America, or around the world.

Cruises to Mexico from California are offered year-round in 2016 on four different cruise lines. Carnival Cruise Line makes short 3-day cruises to Ensenada on two of their famous "fun ships". 7-day cruises to the Mexican Riviera visit ports like Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, Acapulco, or Cabo San Lucas. Princess, Norwegian, and Carnival have those trips.

Cruises to Hawaii are mostly 15-days long and depart from Los Angeles, San Diego or San Francisco. 19 Hawaiian cruises out of California are scheduled for 2016. Visit four islands without getting on a plane.

Continuing the islands theme, four cruises to the South Pacific are available from California in 2016. The round-trip voyages are up to 48 days long and visit as many as 22 islands.

Cruises from California to Australia also stop at South Pacific islands along the way. Three one-way cruises to Sydney are offered in January, August and September.

On a very different note, cruises to Alaska are available out of San Francisco. The Alaska cruise season is May to September, and 13 departures are offered by Princess Cruises.

A passage through the Panama Canal is one of the classic cruise journeys. 16 voyages through the man-made marvel are scheduled in 2016. They are all one-way trips from California to Florida.

An emerging cruise destination is South America. The attraction includes excursions to historic Incan sites. Three cruises are available on Holland America Line, Norwegian, and Princess.

World cruises are the ultimate voyage and two depart from California in 2016. They are more than 100 days long and make full round-trips around the globe. It is the luxurious way to explore our world.
